Somewhere in that brown swathe of water lies the house of a friend of mine.
There’s something indescribable about knowing that 400km above the Earth, one man stayed up late just to take photos of the region I grew up in, during one of its darkest hours (Gladstone, Rockhampton and Maryborough have also featured so far).
For now, I’m calling it a Pale Blue Dot effect, but it’s a little more personal than that.
